Prince Harry went through a very uncomfortable moment in the middle of a dinner because his wife, Kate Middleton, had to meet who was rumored to be his lover a few years back. As it turns out, he had two options back in the day and he decided to stick with Kate, who is now his wife and the future Queen Consort of the United Kingdom.
The Royal Family is no stranger to the international drama stage, they have had multiple scandals over the years, such as Prince Charles cheating on Lady Di, or Queen Elizabeth throwing a show at King Philip a few decades ago. The dinner that Prince William had with his wife and his ex-lover, could easily be one of those moments as well.
The woman in the dinner was Rose Hanbury, who was heavily rumored to have had a romance with the older son of Lady Di and the current King Charles III. As if that was not drama enough, Rose is also a close friend of Kate, who she lost her boyfriend to.
Rose is an ex-model who used to be one of Kate Middleton’s best friends, and she was invited to a State Banquet, and even though it was allegedly not planned, the two met at the entrance of the dinner, creating a rather awkward situation.
The newsletter El Milenio made a report about the encounter, and mentioned that, after this incident, Kate asked for Rose to be banned from this type of events if she was also present, since she knows about the possible love affair she had with his husband.
As you may notice by the picture, Prince William was also present at the reception where they had to meet with Rose, and you can also notice how Kate didn’t even look at her in the eyes.
Luckily, there is a picture of the moment taken as it happened, where you can see William’s uncomfortable facial expression, and other one from when Rose left, and Kate’s face is explanation enough.
