Jennifer Lopez never ceases to surprise with the details of her wedding to Ben Affleck, as it has been months since they tied the knot at the altar, but in a recent statement she revealed why they decided to get married first in Las Vegas, their official wedding with close friends and family and said it was not out of haste, but because something was out of their control.
In a June 2022 ceremony, Jennifer and Ben traveled to Las Vegas for a romantic wedding night at a local traditional white church in the city. Although they were married before to other people, their love is enough to make that night unforgettable.

In an interview with “Access Hollywood“, the ‘Bronx diva’ revealed that they were worried about the weather in Georgia, where they had planned the family ceremony, because they didn’t know if it would rain a lot or if it would be too hot, which would make all the guests uncomfortable. For such a reason they decided to prepare for the first wedding:
“We escaped to Las Vegas and got married a month before to lower the stress.”
She added that the idea was Affleck’s, which shows that he is a very romantic man. So the reason for the unexpected wedding in Las Vegas was the weather so they could have their intimate ceremony without fear of the weathermen of the day ruining their moment.
