R’Bonney Gabriel of the United States wins crown as the new Miss Universe

R’Bonney Gabriel, the representative of the United States, has won the most important beauty pageant in the world, the Miss Universe. The event took place the night of January 14th in the city of New Orleans and gathered millions of people to watch the important pageant.

After a series of different tests, the representatives of Puerto Rico, Haiti, Australia, Dominican Republic, Laos, South Africa, Portugal, Canada, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Curacao, India, Venezuela, Spain, United States and Colombia were the ones who were able to pass to the semifinal.

The 5 semifinalists passed to the next round, among them were Miss Venezuela, followed by the United States, Puerto Rico, Curacao and the Dominican Republic. The qualifying jury had to choose the 3 finalists who were asked the respective questions.

In the final stretch of the contest, the three finalists were chosen: United States, Dominican Republic and Venezuela. Each of them was asked the question: “If you won Miss Universe, how would you work to show that this is an empowering and progressive organization?

It seems that the most convincing answer for the jury was that of Miss United States, who was crowned as the new sovereign of world beauty, with Amanda Dudamel, Miss Venezuela, in second place, and Miss Dominican Republic in third place.
