Kosmos, Piqué’s company, has lost millionaire contract due to lack of payments

Gerard Piqué, the ex-football player is going through a rough patch this week, going from being the world’s most hated and ridiculed man after Shakira’s song where she reduced him down to a “noob,” to losing millions in revenue all due to his company’s mismanagement.

Retaking the main topic, Kosmos Management is a company founded in 2017 by Piqué, and it was described as portfolio of services related to the management of sport events, of all kinds.

Piqué is the current president of the council of executive directors, while being an executive director as well. His financial administration has not been well received by the rest of the committee, and with heavy reasons, as it was announced a few hours ago that the International Tennis Federation, ITF by its acronym, had terminated a millionaire contract that they had with Kosmos to administrate the Davis Cup, which was Kosmos’ greatest income source.

In the statement shared by the ITF, they accuse Piqué company of a lack of payments and inorganization of the payment schedule to the players competing in the league, as well as a lack of the payments for the fees initially negotiated. Kosmos defended themselves with a statement that was heavily criticized by the public for the lack of proof of the payments they claim to have done.

Kosmos Management finished their statement clarifying that they did try to re-negotiate the amount of the fees, but it was not possible to make the ends met not come to an agreement between the two companies. They also mentioned that they will focus on their other activities ahead, which includes a new Esports group, which is not doing quite well, a football league based in Spain which consists of 12 groups managed and directed by influencers that will compete in a untraditional format, and the Andorra Football Club, a second division group of the Spanish Football League that is far from making it to the A division.

The ITF celebrated the end of their relationship with Kosmos and re gaining the control over the financial situation of the Davis Cup.
