For some years now, climatic movements have characteristically affected the world, but recently this has been seen dramatically. This winter, the United States experienced one of the worst weather events in history, where they faced intense cold snowstorms that led to many people losing their lives.
Weather is a non-hierarchical thing and no matter how famous or important you are, natural disasters affect everyone.
So many problems have been seen in the country that now celebrities like Prince Harry will have to leave their homes.
Montecito, California, home to many public figures such as Prince Harry, has been ordered to evacuate due to landslides that may submerge homes.
The town, which is home to more than 9,000 residents and is often visited by entertainers such as Oprah Winfrey, is expected to receive about 200 millimeters of rain in 24 hours, on hillsides already flooded by weeks of downpours.
The local emergency authorities quickly announced the bad news and asked the inhabitants to leave their homes as soon as possible.
It is important to mention that Montecito has multi-million dollar properties and is especially vulnerable to landslides as it is located at the foot of a mountain range which was the scene of a fire years ago.
Montecito is under mandatory evacuation. We are on higher ground so they asked us to shelter in place. Please stay safe everyone. pic.twitter.com/7dv5wfNSzG
