Harvey Weinstein’s sentencing postponed and he may not go to prison

One of the biggest controversies experienced by top entertainment executives is undoubtedly the case of Harvey Weinstein, who also came to be linked to Epstein.

Harvey Weinstein is a former Hollywood producer, being one of the most important in the industry, who is expected to go to court in late February due to the crimes he has to pay.

It was in 2022 that the producer was accused of charges of physical and sexual abuse, as well as improper behavior against a victim who preferred to remain anonymous, being an Italian actress and model.

The producer’s crime took place more than a decade ago, and it is known that this is not the only case that has been related to him.

Due to this crime, Harvey Weinstein should serve a 23-year sentence under sexual assault charges, which were imposed by the New York authorities.

The jury has heard testimony from women who accused him, including Mexican actress Salma Hayek, who accused him of harassment on the set of the movie ‘Frida’.

The prosecution determined that Harvey Weinstein was a predator who used his influence in the industry to commit his non-consensual encounters.

Weinstein’s defense is appealing the ruling; however, they will return to court, next February 23, in case the verdict request is denied, the sentence will be read the same day.

Because of all the changes they are making, there are people who claim that it is being extended so that he will not step foot in jail or may even escape.
