BTS’ V saved a US videogame from bankruptcy by playing it during livestream

It all started at the end of last year, when the BTS member decided to make a livestream on Weverse to spend time with his fans, who were really delighted by the beautiful gesture that the 27-year-old idol took, it even became a worldwide trend.

For several minutes, the idol chatted with ARMY, the official name of the fandom, as well as played an online game called ‘Goose Goose Duck’, this was created underground by American developers and they were planning to close it soon due to the low feedback they received because of its resemblance to Among Us.

After V’s livestream, the game went from having 6 players at that time to more than 6000 in less than a minute, by the end of the year, it was already receiving 130 thousand new players every week, this according to Polygon reports, a really incredible milestone, and is that due to the popularity of V, the game became famous.

The increase of more than 250 thousand % of players caused ‘Goose Goose Duck’ to have a server crash on January 2nd, 2023, so the developers assured that they were making sure that the server would not crash again so that ARMY and Kim Taehyung could continue to enjoy the experience.
