The South Korean Ministry of Culture has chosen Jungkook of BTS as a reference icon that confirms the global status in popularity of South Korean culture. This is how the 25-year-old idol has managed to obtain this distinguished recognition.

According to the South Korean government, the BTS member managed to position the name of South Korea in the cultural arena thanks to his participation in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as the idol gave a spectacular performance in addition to performing the song “Dreamers”.

Previously, BTS as a group had also received this recognition for increasing the country’s cultural value thanks to their popularity and inclusion of culture in their music, but now Jungkook as a soloist has been recognized.
