FIFA vetoes Salt Bae chef from 2026 World Cup after Qatar incident

During the World Cup, so many things were said and so many controversies happened that up to now, weeks after it ended, news are still coming out.

After the controversy that Chef Salt Bae caused when he took pictures with the World Cup and made the Argentinean national team uncomfortable, it is now known that the celebrity will be banned from all the matches of the next World Cup.

According to information from journalist Erick Osores, FIFA has decided to ban the famous chef, who has become known for his viral technique of serving salt, from all matches that will take place in the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in North America, including Mexico, the United States and Canada.

“Sanctioned! FIFA bans Salt Bae for the 2026 World Cup.

The punishment is because the renowned chef interrupted Argentina’s celebrations inside the field of play,” Osores wrote via his Instagram account.

Although the soccer association has not yet issued an official statement, it is known that the Turkish chef was under investigation for touching the World Cup; a problem that could also face Messi’s wife.

“Following a review, FIFA has established how some individuals gained improper access to the pitch after the closing ceremony at Lusail Stadium on December 18. Appropriate internal measures will be taken,” the organizers announced in the aftermath.
