Prince Andrew will have to leave the palace due to his accusations of sexual assault, a charge that he does not accept, but gives a bad reputation to the crown.
According to information from the British newspaper ‘The Sun’, the Duke will no longer be able to have an office inside the Official Palace, nor will he be able to share it as an address. It is known that the 62-year-old resigned 3 years ago from his service, so he will have to leave.
Despite this, the newspaper assured that Prince Andrew is recruiting a new communications team with the aim of improving the public image, as well as reputation.
In February, Prince Andrew had to spend millions of pounds to settle a sexual assault case in the U.S. from which he has always distanced himself.
Apparently, Prince Andrew is no longer a working royal and will therefore have to start meeting his expenses out of his own money. He will still retain the 31-bed royal lodge at Windsor, though.
‘The Sun’ revealed that the Home Office stripped Andrew of his armed security which was at his disposal 24 hours a day and cost the Royal Household £3 million a year.
Recall that at the moment the palace is living through many changes not only with Andrew, also with the recent Prince Harry documentary on Netflix.
