This, as a result of the restructuring that the DC Universe is undergoing, which has led to the cancellation of productions such as Wonder Woman, recently many news of the radical change that the company will have with the entry of director James Gunn as the new head of the productions have come to light.
According to producer James Gunn, there will be a new Superman movie, but it will be focused on the younger stages of the character, so Henry Cavill no longer fits in the story to be told.
Although Cavill sadly said goodbye to the character he has played since 2013, he expressed that Superman will last forever, so we will have to wait and see what is in store for the iconic superhero.
Meanwhile, according to the site ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, what will be sought with the new film is that it is integrated with a young and fresh cast in order to be maintained during all stages that are contemplated for the franchise.
One of the actors who have been rumored to take the iconic red cape is Jacob Elordi, actor of Netflix’s ‘Euphoria’ and ‘The Kissing Stand’ series insted of Henry Cavill.
According to what the site reports, the actor would already be in talks with producers and studio executives to become the next ‘Man of Steel’ to lead the famous franchise.
So far, Elordi nor Henry Cavill have not confirmed the information, however, the restructuring of variety of iconic superheroes is already underway.
