Shakira, the successful Colombian singer, wanted to send a strong message to her followers about her insistence to attend the World Cup, and her reasons are totally logical.
Before the start of the World Cup there was speculation that the singer would be part of the inauguration as usual, and although a few days before the start of the World Cup the rumors increased, it was only until the same day that the followers and the media announced that Shakira would not be present.
After this, at the end of the cup, the news of Ozuna’s presentation at the closing of the World Cup increased the suspicions that the singer would present a final song, but this did not happen either. And fans did not have to wait long to find out why the singer did not show up at all, the reasons are totally logical, although also criticized by some.

The barranquillera made a statement with a message dedicated to Amir Nasr-Azadani, who will be executed by the authorities for collaborating in the protests demanding respect for women’s rights in his country. The singer said:
Today at the final of the World Cup, I only hope the players on the field and the whole world remembers that there’s a man and fellow footballer called Amir Nasr, on death row, only for speaking in favor of Women’s rights. I hope there’s more than a minute of silence in our hearts to remember what’s important and more than one voice united screaming for what is just.

The mother of Milan and Sasha had also communicated one of the reasons why she did not feel it was important to attend the World Cup in that country, “The World Cup and Christmas cannot be more important than human life, women’s rights, and those voices that others forcibly want to silence. Let’s talk about what is really important or let’s raise a united cry, as long as we have a voice” finished the singer.
