The time of military service is a sad time for fans of male K-Pop idols. South Korea is one of the countries that still maintains the military conscription system, and celebrities are no strangers to that duty. This December 13th, Jin will become the first BTS member to walk through the gates of the military training center.
The idol temporarily says goodbye to the stage for a period of 18 months.
The singer prepared the nostalgic lyrics for “The Astronaut“, taking inspiration from this momentary separation. “Safe flight for our astronaut” is one of the trending phrases on Twitter, but the hashtags are not the only display of fandom loyalty.
