The new restructuring of Warner Bros Discovery seems to be showing the first effects, as James Gunn and Peter Safran, who took over the DC Studios division, have just canceled the ‘Wonder Woman 3’ movie.
Wonder Woman 3 has been cancelled and fans are devastated
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gun and Safran spent time “in deep planning” for the future of DC Studios and whose ultimate goals do not include the third installment of ‘Wonder Woman,’ starring actress Gal Gadot.
The problem was director Patty Jenkins’ script, co-written with Geoff Johns.
According to insiders, she would have submitted it to the company with no favorable responses, as James Gunn, Peter Safran and Warner Bros Pictures co-executive directors Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy would have told her that her story no longer fit with the new DC Studios plan.
So the project has been put on hold and the current incarnation of ‘Wonder Woman 3’ is off the table.

What is not specified, however, is whether the sequel to Gal Gadot’s movie has been left out altogether or whether Jenkins will have the opportunity to rewrite the script.
Jenkins has directed the first two ‘WW’ tapes in 2017 and 2020. Both starred Gadot, who also brought the superheroine to life in DC’s Snyderverse films, including ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ and ‘Justice League’.
But the cancellation of ‘W W 3’ only gave way to the risk of two other films from the company: ‘Snyderverse’ and ‘Man of Steel 2’, starring Henry Cavill, as well as the end of the ‘Aquaman’ films, starring Jason Momoa. Both characters will appear in a cameo in the upcoming ‘Flash’ movie
