A member of the K-Pop group, (G)I-IDLE, has gone viral on social media after launching an offensive comment at the MAMA Awards, an event where awards are given annually to the most outstanding artists in South Korea.
At the recent awards ceremony, the idols put on an impeccable piano show with their song “MY BAG“, where they stood out for their voice, charisma, and incredible visuals.
And while Shuhua and Yuqi surprised by rapping the verses of the song, another member of the girl group caught the attention of the attendees for the negative comment towards the MAMA Awards for referring to them as dishonest awards.

Although it’s not the first time it’s happened, the public was left speechless when Soyeon stated that they rejected the awards they received by calling them “specific awards”. In her verse, the idol said:
“What award will you give us this year, MAMA? You know who we are, the syndrome of the year. We reject specially made awards“.

Fans, for her part, showed support for her comment and called the moment legendary, as it went viral on social media. Ironically, (G)I-IDLE later won the “Favorite Female Group” award.
