After the Disney character Winnie the Pooh became part of the public domain for its years of antiquity, some were given the task of creating a terrifying movie with the character as the protagonist, which was called ‘Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey’ and caused great impact.
This Disney classic will not be the only one to pass into the public domain, as Bambi will also do it, so to repeat the success of making a horror remake of an animated classic, the same producers of the new version of the yellow bear, will start filming a new version of Bambi
Dread Central reports that ITN Studios and Jagged Edged Productions announced that they are working on an explicit remake of Bambi, with ‘Blood And Honey, Rhys Frake-Waterfield’ director Scott Jeffrey set to begin shooting the film in early 2023.
“The film will be an incredibly dark retelling of the 1923 story we all know and love.
Finding inspiration from the design used in Netflix’s The Ritual, Bambi will be a vicious killing machine lurking in the wilderness – get ready for Bambi vs.
rage!” said Jeffrey.
That’s not all though, as screenwriter Frake-Waterfield confessed that they will be looking to put a new spin on the animated Peter Pan movie, which they will turn into a dark fantasy and title as ‘Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare’.
