“Dynamite” by BTS has reached the 1.6 billion views in YouTube. This happened yesterday on November 22.
So now they have become the fastest K-Pop group to achieve this milestone. The current holder of this milestone was BLACKPINK, with the music video of their hit “DDU-DU DDU-DU“.
“Dynamite” was premiered in August of 2020. The song was the band’s first full-English song.
It was written by David Stewart who also produced it alongside Jessica Agombar.
One of the main reasons for BTS to do this song was to bring some joy to people after the Covid pandemic started. They wanted to bring something fun, fresh and that makes people forget for a while of the situation everyone was going through.
The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 number 1, selling 300.000 copies in their first week, so it was the band’s first #1 in the United States. It also won the 7th position on Billboard’s “100 best songs of 2020“.
“Dynamite” alongside “Boys With Luv” are now the band’s two music video to surpass the 1.6 billion views on Youtube.
As we know so far, some of the members of BTS have been working in their own individual projects. As Jungkook just amazed us with his incredible song and performance for the opening of the World Cup 2022, we are looking forward to delight ourselves with the others members work, before the guys start doing their military service.
