Even though K-Pop boy group BTS was unable to attend the 2022 American Music Awards, they were the winners of several major awards, proving their huge popularity internationally.

BTS has been present at the award ceremony for several years in a row, both conquering categories as well as performing on stage, giving the event great music and excellent performances. This time was no different, as the K-Pop group was one of the biggest winners of the event.

The boys of BTS took home 3 awards at the 2022 American Music Awards, the first being in the “Favorite Pop Duo or Group” category. Later, it was announced that the South Korean group also won the “Favorite Kpop Artist” award. Also, thanks to a poll conducted by the AMAs on social media, BTS won the “AMAs Fan Favorite” award.

The BTS members have won 11 awards at the American Music Awards, with nominations in different categories and in different years.

The group performed for the first time at the 2017 AMAs, where they performed “DNA“, surprising everyone with their performance.
