BTS‘ Jin gifted ARMY an exceptional solo album “The Astronaut” as a farewell and keepsake while serving his military service. The project has comforted its fans so well that it has achieved a huge industry milestone by selling over a million copies.
According to recent reports on music sales data from the South Circle Chart, the BTS member’s single album sold more than 1,024,382 copies as of November 12th, becoming the fastest music project by a solo artist to surpass 1 million in history from chart.
Kmedia reports BTS Jin became a million seller with his solo single “The Astronaut” selling 224,390 copies from Nov 6-12, recording cumulative sales of 1,024,382 copies according to latest Circle Chart. The milestone also makes the South Korean idol the third solo artist to sell more than 1 million copies of an album, after EXO‘s Baekhyun with “Delight” and “Bambi” and Young-woong with “Im Hero“.
For its part, the single co-written by Jin and Coldplay, ranked 51 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 singles chart. This is probably the idol’s last song until his return from military service in 2025.
