On November 12th, it was confirmed that BTS‘ Jungkook will sing at the opening of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The 25-year-old South Korean artist will join Shakira, another figure who would also appear at the event, according to international media.
Unlike other editions of the World Cup, FIFA has proposed that the artistic display not be summed up in a single song, but rather that a “World Cup soundtrack” be prepared with singers of various origins.
The first single presented was “Hayya hayya (Better together)“, performed by Trinidad Cardona, Davido and Aisha. The second official FIFA song is “Arhbo”, with the voice of Ozuna and the rapper Gims. Then, the official BTS page reported that Jungkook would present a new song from the World Cup.
