Henry Cavill has completely quashed speculation on social media about being cast in HBO’s ‘House of Dragon’.
‘No place for me‘: Henry Cavill made it clear for the last time during an interview with Josh Horowitz, the British actor confirmed the following:
“I think it would be nice to be in Westeros, I really do. But I don’t think there’s a place for me there.
To be fair, when I was watching House of the Dragon and I thought, ‘I feel like a lot of these guys could be really good Witchers’.”
It was previously reported that the Superman star’s abrupt exit from Netflix’s fantasy show ‘The Witcher‘ was due to creative differences between the actor and producers. Several sources added that the feud between the two parties grew so much that they were not agreeing on absolutely nothing.
The Superman star pushed for a Geralt more faithful to the books and said:
“The hardest part for me was finding the balance between the showrunners’ vision and my love of the books, and trying to bring that Geralt into the showrunners’ vision. It’s about treading a fine line there.
It’s the showrunners’ story, so it’s an adaptation. The hard part for me was finding Geralt from the books’ place within that and being able to serve both as much as I could.
The things I pushed for, it wasn’t necessarily more dialogue.
CIt was bringing to the screen a Geralt that was more true to the books. […] All of my questions and requests were along the lines of just being true to the source material.”
And you, were you expecting to see Henry Cavill in ‘House of Dragon‘?
