The leader member of worldwide sensation boy group, BTS, has released more details about his upcoming project: a solo album.
Kim Namjoon, better known as RM, recently shared via social media a series of stories celebrating the fourth anniversary of his mixtape titled “MONO,” launched in 2018. However, what has caught the attention of the ARMY, as the fans like to call themselves, was the post that was right after that, which is basically a screenshot with a zip file with a blurred text that the fans haven’t been able to decipher, and then a clear handwritten text that reads “What’s next?”, which most of the fans took as a confirmation that the rapper is getting ready for a new era with the release of a solo project, most likely, an album.
In the third story posted, the 28-year-old BTS member gave a brief sneak peek of what is to be expected from his next album, as he said himself, it is going to be about the emotional rollercoaster he’s been through from 2019 to 2022, some of his most active years in the industry.
In a live broadcast that the Idol gave in the month of July, he revealed that he was working on the album for the first time, and he also shared that the album was going to be based on the experiences he has had in the last 3 years.
“I have so much fun working in music!
I will say that it will be very different to “MONO.
” If I had to describe it… I would say it is like an archive of the last years, between 2019 and 2022.
”
“I guess that is why I do everything, right? Making music, thinking about the person I am, the person I would like to become.
This time around, I wanted to challenge myself to try new things” he added.
