BTS’ Jin will be required to enlist and fulfill his military service

BTS’ future will be decided until December, as the government and the ministry of culture and sports reported that they have not yet taken a final stance on whether or not they should go to the military to fulfill their military service. Jin should be the first member to say goodbye to his fans.

For a couple of years now, there have been discussions about BTS being the first K-Pop group to be exempted from this national obligation. Initially, the members were granted an extension, all of them could delay their enlistment until they were 30, two years older than the age limit of 28.

However, this deadline is about to expire for Jin and, as their success has grown even more in recent years, the government has considered creating a law to exempt them completely. Opinions have been divided, as it is believed that such an initiative will only benefit them due to the requirements that would be taken into account.

Jin will do so next December, so the government must make a decision before his enlistment, as he will be 31 years old at the Korean age. If he is not released from military service, he is obliged to go, as his peers still have time, as he is currently 29.
