Coldplay, who have had a resounding success on their “Music of the Spheres” tour, had to postpone 8 dates of it. The announcement was made this Tuesday morning, September 4th, through the group’s official Instagram profile, due to Chris Martin having a serious lung infection.
The “Music of the Spheres” world tour has broken attendance records everywhere it goes. Fans around the world eagerly await to experience one of the most talked about shows in the world.

So far, only the shows in Brazil have been postponed, Coldplay continues with a show scheduled in Buenos Aires, Argentina, starting on October 25th. Read the official statement from the band:
“Hello everyone
With deep regret, we’ve been forced to postpone our upcoming shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo until early 2023.
Due to a severe lung infection, Chris has been put under strict doctor’s orders to rest for the next three weeks.
We’re working as fast as possible to lock in the new dates and will follow up with more information in the next few days.
To everyone in Brazilians who was looking forward for these concerts, we extremely sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience, and we’re so grateful for your understanding at this challeging time in where we need to prioritize Chris’s health.

Please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the new rescheduled dates.
These will happen in early 2023 and will be announced very soon.
However, we will also honour all requests for ticket refund which will be available at the points of sell.
We’re optimistic that Chris will return to good health after the prescribed medical break and look forward to resuming the tour soon.
