BLACKPINK’s Jennie exudes sexiness in “The Idol” teaser 2! In the second trailer for the long-awaited HBO original series co-created by The Weeknd, the famous Korean flashes a flirtatious smile at Lily-Rose Depp in a sauna and becomes her ticket to a club that will change her life, not necessarily for good

According to the new preview, the rapper from the acclaimed girl band, who just released the song “Pink venom” with resounding success, will debut as an actress under the name Jennie Ruby Jane in this project.

In addition to being a challenge as it is her first job in the acting field, the 26-year-old star is willing to challenge the image of the K-Pop idol under the interpretation, according to internal sources of the industry, of a bisexual girl.

“The idol” will be a dark story about a young pop star who falls in love with the owner of one of the most sought-after nightclubs in Los Angeles. What this promise of music does not know is that the man she will love is the leader of a religious sect that terrorizes its rule in the city.

In addition to being the male lead and being involved in the script, The Weeknd takes on the role of executive producer of the series.

The famed singer shares the co-creation spot with “Succession” screenwriter Mary Law and Joseph Epstein, according to Variety.

Jennie Ruby Jane will appear on “The Idol” in the role of one of the supporting characters, yet she is one of the most anticipated figures on the show.

At the moment, “The idol” does not have an official release date. However, it is known that it will arrive sometime in the remainder of 2022.
