The fan culture is different between South Korea and other countries. Because of this, it sometimes happens that some Korean artists are shocked by the behavior of fans and don’t know how to react, which may lead them to panic or hurt themselves.
K-Pop group LOONA is on a world tour and had a stop in Chicago on August 11th. The girls wanted to talk to the fans, however, member Kim Lip felt bad in the middle of the show and left and did not return that night, as Haseul explained. She also did not participate in the post-concert ‘Meet & Greet‘.
The concert organizers released an official announcement about Kim Lip. The debate about what happened was raised on Twitter where several fans told their experience in order to understand what happened to the idol.

Fans not only kept making noise when Kim Lip tried to speak, they chanted another member’s name, Vivi. The idol first tried to ask for silence, but to no avail. Then she decided to leave the scene.
Other fans who were present shared her experience, not only regarding Kim Lip, but regarding the attitude of certain fans that was inappropriate and disrespectful to the group and others.
