A futuristic post-apocalyptic world and a city on fire is what Jackson Wang offers us, emerging from the rubble, in his new clip “Cruel“. The idol spoke about the track in a press release from BT PR:
“It really set a precedent for the way the narrative of the album was going to go, the way it was going to sound. We were working on a lot of records before this one, but we had trouble finding a clear direction.
‘Cruel’ is like a manifestation of the environments and the obstacles we had to overcome at the time“.
The lyrics are in English, as the artist is bilingual because he is from Hong Kong and now that his joint contract with GOT7 has ended, he can easily adopt an international strategy, where he is enjoying growing success.
