This Tuesday, July 5th, aespa delivered a significant speech at the UN High Level Political Forum! The group of girls was present at the General Assembly, in New York, United States, and participated in the first day of the event to deliver a moving reflection on the importance of sustainable development.
“Aespa moves in a unique way between reality and the virtual. We exist here in the real world and four of our avatar members exist in the virtual world.
Together we’re often called the ‘metaverse girl group’”, Giselle began.
“People are paying more attention to creating the best metaverse world possible. It transcends many borders: reality and virtual reality, time and space, genders and generations.
As the metaverse accelerates, we have to ask ourselves the question: ‘Are we working just as hard to create the best possible real world?’“

“The metaverse reflects reality. If our own reality is not sustainable, it will be difficult to sustain the possibilities of the virtual world.
Without sustainable ecosystems or equal opportunities for a quality life, there will be no real world to be mirror”, the idol continued.
“The issue of sustainable development is urgent and we believe that the next generation must support the sustainable development goals to protect the world we live in. aespa will continue to connect with the next generation through music, and we will work to represent sustainable goals in reality, therefore, within the metaverse”.
“Once again, thank you for having us. We are honored to be here to discuss such an important topic for the next generation.
And now we will be performing our song ‘Next Level’.
We hope you enjoy. Thank you“, Karina concluded.
