After the news of BTS’ hiatus made their fans suffer, the group clarified that they will stay together and promote as a group, but for the time being they will concentrate on their solo activities. To ARMY’s joy, it has just been confirmed that they will continue for 8 more years.
Korean media reported that BTS received a request from Busan’s mayor, Park Hyung Jun, as they were chosen as ambassadors for the city’s World Expo that will be held until 2030. The group accepted the proposal, and it is worth remembering that Jimin and Jungkook were born there.
The invitation was for their great contribution to Korea with their worldwide fame and trajectory over the years, especially because this event is one of the most important and is expected to have a great economic impact.
So far, it has not been revealed what kind of participation BTS will have, whether a speech or a musical presentation.
.
It is expected that as ambassadors of the Busan World Expo, BTS will serve as ambassadors to promote tourism in the city and the country. This promotion will give them three more years as a group after their contract expires in 2027, it is not known if they will renew by then or if they will go their separate professional ways but still remain BTS.
