ARMY has failed to reach several of the goals they originally planned for the group’s comeback, which is why several of the fandom members expressed dissatisfaction with Spotify and Youtube.
BTS released the official video for the single ‘Yet To Come’ along with the album ‘Proof‘ yesterday, June 10. From there, it was a matter of minutes for the MV to gain thousands of views and in a few hours, the views were already in the millions.
It was because of this that everything pointed to the fandom achieving the goal set for the official video’s release: 100 million views on YouTube. However, ARMY unfortunately fell far short of the goal, as the MV of “Yet to come” officially ended the day with 48 948 019 million views. That is, with a little less than half of what they wanted to achieve.
.
On Spotify, the goals were not achieved either, as ‘Yet To Come’ failed to break the streaming record in its first 24 hours or reach #1 on the Spotify Global Chart. Some members of the fandom expressed their disappointment on social media.
This reaction was accompanied by some kind of annoyance because it is rumored that YouTube would have frozen and removed views from the video clip according to some ARMYS.
For now, it remains to wait for the weekly performance that both the single and the album will have on all platforms of music consumption. ARMY has bravely demonstrated the great support they are giving to the comeback, so they will continue to support BTS unconditionally.
