On May 18, in South Korea, Jeonnam Women’s High School awarded 10 female students in the first, second and third grades with a five-year scholarship.
The honor is only given to girls who have performed with outstanding grades in academics and behavior.
This benefit is called the J-Hope Scholarship, as the BTS member took it upon himself to donate 100 million won (approximately $80,000) to Chuntae Academy’s foundation every year from 2019.
This money is divided among the 10 female students and since its inception has already benefited a total of 40 students with more than 20 million won each.
Jeonnam High School Principal Gyu Myung Choi mentioned that they will do their best to continue to provide quality education to their female students
