On May 11th, episode 5 of Jay B‘s video collection for DIVE Studio’s health and wellness app, Mindset, was released. Titled “The Weight of Leading GOT7“, the singer shared what it’s really like to be the leader of the group.
Jay B kicked off the episode by revealing that he didn’t want to be the leader of GOT7. In fact, he asked JYP Entertainment not to give him the job.
“When I was young, it was hard to accept the title of ‘GOT7 leader’. So I told the agency several times that I didn’t want to be the leader“, the idol confessed.
“Unlike Jay B, Lim Jae Beom (his real name) is actually very quiet and shy. Since I got a job where I have to show off and promote myself to the public, my personality has changed, but back then I didn’t talk much.
So I often wondered if this job was for me“.
