Both Jin and HYBE have discussed various factors concerning BTS‘ mandatory military enlistment in the South Korean armed forces. The BTS senior member had previously expressed that he would be attentive to his country’s call when it is his turn to do his duty.
These were his words at the conference held in the city of Las Vegas, U.S.A.
“I have talked a lot with the company about military service. I have said that I would trust the agency with this issue as much as possible.
I think the company’s position is as good as what I have to say,” the artist said.
Lee Jin Hyeong, executive of HYBE, expanded on various issues about the company’s stance on a possible exemption of BTS members from military service, stating the following:
“It is true that we are cautious in talking about the issue because we know the importance of military service in South Korea. We hope that there will be a concrete decision on the amendment to the law as soon as possible.

The executive further confirmed that the BTS members have left everything regarding their military enlistment in the hands of the agency, stating that each of them are attentive to changes in the policies governing their enlistment
.
“BIGHIT told BTS that we could not make a quick decision on their enlistment following the proposed draft amendment to the military service law.
They accepted this maturely and left it up to the company.”
“Due to the changes, it is true that members are going through complications because it is difficult for them to predict when they will go to military service. Therefore, both the artists and the agency are attentive to the proposed amendment,” added HYBE’s CCO.
