While many fans are thrilled with the news and are looking forward to the album, some are disappointed and have been waiting for a new full-length album.
bts are releasing an anthology album, meaning a best of or greatest hits album with 3 new songs… this is honestly disappointing. they have already released a best of and now they are releasing another one?

I know some people are a lil disappointed about a greatest hits album… but as a new-ish fan who doesn’t really buy merch… I’m really excited for this? A great way to own all the classics at once and celebrate BTS through the years #BTS #BTS_Proof https://t.co/AUXyU2ONg3

So it's basically a greatest hits album… so we still haven't had a full BTS album for a million years.

Didn’t sign up for a BTS greatest hits album? Yes y’all did. ☠️ Every artist (especially big ones) eventually releases a greatest hit album. This is not new.
Y’all sound ridiculous complaining. pic.twitter.com/PUMpm56vja

In fact, it has been since 2020 that BTS has not released a full album. The K-Pop group’s last album was “BE” released in November 2020, successor to “Map Of The Soul” from February of the same year.
