NCT‘s Johnny made his first Met Gala appearance on Monday, May 2nd, wearing an all-black Peter Do ensemble causing a stir at the prestigious event. The idol has become the fifth male K-Pop star to attend the gala after Rain, PSY, SUPER JUNIOR‘s Siwon, and EXO‘s Lay.
From model Gigi Hadid to Anderson Paak., model and actress Jung Hoyeon, and more were with whom the NCT member had contact at the event and even a photo. Fans were excited as the idol was fulfilling his dream which he had expressed his wish for in 2019.

However, the emotion disappeared when the idol received racist comments from paparazzi. A fan shared a video of the idol on networks where you can hear a derogatory comment towards him.

The photographer’s assumption that the idol couldn’t understand his words made fans angry, especially since Jhonny is from Chicago so he speaks English fluently.
