Katy Perry falls on American Idol dressed as The Little Mermaid

Katy Perry was a fish out of water in this Sunday’s edition, May 1st, of American Idol, the reality show in which she is a judge. It is that she was dressed as a The Little Mermaid, more specifically Ariel, honoring the theme of the program: singing Disney songs. What no one expected is that she fell off the chair live!

Host Ryan Seacrest was explaining the dynamics of the show when he was abruptly interrupted. He even left his position in front of the camera and headed to the jury box, when he found Katy Perry with her “tail” in the air.

After all, it’s not easy for a fish to get out of the water, is it?

Luke Bryan first pointed and started laughing, while Lionel Richie stepped forward to help. When they saw that he was fine and that he was also laughing at the situation, they all calmed down.

To return to normal, Katy Perry had to be carried on her lap by the presenter. The audience laughed a lot and began to repeat the singer’s name in chorus.

Ryan Seacrest then had the difficult mission of returning to the regular show.
