iKON’s Bobby defends his career as an idol after getting married and becoming a father

K-pop group iKON is back with new music. “Do it” is the main theme of the “Flashback” EP. This is also the first comeback for the rapper who has also moved on to a new stage on a personal level. In August 2021, Bobby announced his marriage and months later his first child was born.

Although this could be one more anecdotal fact, such a decision generates some controversy in the South Korean idol industry. There are detractors who question a K-pop artist getting married and use the argument that “they fail the trust of their fans“.

At the conference Bobby was asked if there was any difference in his life. The 26-year-old rapper, composer and producer reiterated his commitment to making music, separated the family space and ruled out that he had been negligent with his activities.
