After the success of the “Switch On” era as kings of summer, ASTRO returns with a new album this 2022. The six-member group confirmed the title of their comeback “Drive to the starry road”, which will also be the last project with MJ before he enters the military service.

“Drive to the starry road” will be the third ‘full album’ in the discography of the popular boyband.

The album will be released to the public on May 16th at 6 p.m. KST. Fans on Twitter celebrate the comeback news.

ASTRO debuted in 2016 and consists of MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eunwoo, Moonbin, Rocky, and Sanha. A fresh and youthful concept characterized them at the beginning of their career, and over time they proved their versatility with other styles.

The “Drive to the starry road” album comes nine months after the “Switch On” EP and its song “After Midnight”, a comeback that won four times on music shows including Music Bank and Music Core.

One more reason why this album is special in the fandom has to do with the inevitable changes in the group’s lineup. MJ, lead vocalist and the oldest in ASTRO, will enlist in the military on May 9th, and “Drive to the starry night” will be Kim Myungjun‘s last group comeback until his return in 18 months.
