CL explains decision to turn her Coachella performance into one with 2NE1

The members of the group 2NE1 made a surprise return to the stage of the 2022 Coachella festival and K-pop fans around the world are still in awe. After leaving YG Entertainment, despite their friendship, each member took a different path.

So seeing them together again touched many fans.

CL later left a message on her Instagram account explaining her decision to reunite the group for the festival. The artist wrote:

“I am greatful and blessed to be alive with pleasure. Long enough to witness the marks I make and things I create blossom.

When I was invited to Coachella, I really wanted to invite the members to this event because I wanted to gather with my own strength and our strength before it was too late.

Through this stage, I would like to say hello to everyone who has supported and been with us until now, and I want to say thank you to those who have loved and spent time with 2NE1 over the past 13 years.

In that sense, today was a very important and meaningful day for me more than anyone else.

Through this moment today, I hope that the feelings we felt in the past will come back to life.

Thank you once again to our members who made today’s stage shine and to everyone who made this stage together.

Next time, I will keep running for the day when I fill the entire hour on this stage”.
