BTS is facing an uncertain future thanks to the mandatory military service that each of the men in South Korea must perform between the ages of 18 and 30.
HYBE Labels, the company representing the group BTS, stated that the members of the boyband will do their military service voluntarily and not because they are being forced to do so.
In an interview with TMZ, Sungnam Lim, South Korea’s ambassador in the United Kingdom, stated that the members of the famous South Korean group will have to ‘do their duty as citizens’ and perform their military service by joining the army.
.
So far the dates when the band members will enter the military have not been revealed, but it is expected to be at the end of 2022 so one of its members, Jin, is over 30 years old.
HYBE Labels confirmed that all the band members will fulfill their mandatory military service at the same time, so rumors that BTS’ entry into the South Korean military would be happening at the end of this year.
