Following MONSTA X‘s Hyungwon‘s contagion on March 28, which led to the group comeback with “Shape of love” being postponed, Kihyun has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
On the night of March 30th (KST), Starship Entertainment detailed the health status of the main vocalist at the K-pop boy band’s fancafe. According to the firm, the Korean had a sore throat, for which he passed an antigen test.
The result of this test confirmed the infection by COVID-19.
The idol, who recently debuted as a soloist with the single album “Voyager“, completed the third dose of the vaccine and will continue the isolated treatment at home, in accordance with health protocols. Regarding Yoo Kihyun’s agenda, Starship indicates that they will specify the corresponding modifications in a future statement.
“We will do our best to comply with the quarantine guidelines so that the artist can focus on recovery” says MONSTA X’s agency.
