BTS‘ Jungkook tested positive for COVID-19 after experiencing throat discomfort upon arrival in Las Vegas, where the boy group will attend the 2022 Grammys and hold “PTD” concerts in the coming weeks.
Jungkook had traveled to the United States before his classmates to “complete preparations for BTS’ performance at the Grammys“, BIG HIT told reporters on Monday, March 28th. However, a new statement gives details of how the vocalist’s plans change suddenly.

According to the BIG HIT text, Jungkook left South Korea on Sunday March 27th (KST) but, upon arriving in Las Vegas, he felt discomfort in his throat and took two PCR tests. On Monday the 28th it was confirmed with results in hand that Jungkook had tested positive.
Unfortunately, the spread of COVID-19 endangers Jungkook’s presence along with his fellow BTS members at the 2022 GRAMMY Awards, a gala that will take place on Sunday, April 3.
In addition to assessing Jungkook’s health status and whether his physical condition will be appropriate for the performance, the regulated quarantine times in Las Vegas for people infected with COVID-19 should also be considered. Check the full statement from BIG HIT:
