The Yeonsan General Welfare Center in Yeonje-gu, Busan is heavily criticized and accused of “invading the privacy” of BTS‘ Jungkook and his family for sharing the old adress of his grandmother.
The idol is from Busan, despite having moved to Seoul for a while to pursue his dreams. Although it is unknown where his family lives at this time, his grandmother used to live in a village in Yeonje-gu, Busan.
The Yeonsan General Welfare Center recently issued a map of Yeonsan Village, showing various public services and tourist attractions. An area of the map caught the attention of many.
“The house where Jungkook’s grandmother from BTS lived. (Now it’s empty)“
Although the house is empty, it was classified on the map as a tourist attraction. The social welfare center made a statement to the press that the house was currently uninhabited, however, this activity was carried out without the consent of Jungkook or the village residents.
“When we were creating the map, we wanted it not only to be informative, but also to incorporate fun elements of it, and therefore we gained insight into the singer. We thought it would enrich the themes to see within the town“
