K-Pop girl group Red Velvet‘s plans changed dramatically after three of the group’s 5 members tested positive for COVID-19.
With the release of a new album, “The ReVe Festival 2022 – Feel My Rhythm“, scheduled for March 21st, the Red Velvet girls were also preparing for two solo shows, scheduled for the 19th and 20th of this month, which were canceled, due to Irene, Joy, and Yeri‘s COVID-19 positive diagnosis.
SM Entertainment confirmed the information through a statement, stating that the three Red Velvet members are still showing no symptoms of the disease.
“Red Velvet’s Irene, Joy, and Yeri recently tested positive for the COVID-19 self-test kit, which they conducted preemptively, and underwent a PCR test, and were finally confirmed last weekend.”
“As a result, Red Velvet’s special live ‘2022 The ReVe Festival: Prologue’ scheduled for March 19-20 will inevitably be temporarily postponed and tickets will be refunded in full.“
