Suga turns 29 this Wednesday 9th, but made a point of sharing his joy and gifts with more people. The BTS member donated 100 million won, roughly 400,000 reais at the current rate, to an NGO that helps victims of natural disasters in South Korea.
The non-profit organization is called Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief, and according to the South Korean press, it has revealed that Suga has reached out to make a donation that will be used for restoration and support for damage caused by a wildfire.
Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Secretary General Kim Jung-hee expressed gratitude by saying:
“With the warmth of global artist, BTS member, Suga and fans, we will do our best to support residents affected by the wildfires so they can get back on their feet again.”

This is not the first time that BTS members have supported social causes. In July 2021, Jimin donated 100 million won to the Rotary Foundation’s Goseon Rotary Club towards the eradication of polio in South Korea.
Then, in October, he helped Green Umbrella’s Children Foundation with the same amount as a way to repay the love he receives from ARMYs and the public.
He became a new member of the foundation’s Green Noble Club which, for those who don’t know, is a group that has brought together people who have already made a cumulative donation of over 100 million won.
J-Hope is also part of it.
