SEVENTEEN establishes itself as one of the most important groups in K-Pop. The 13 member ensemble has debuted on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry’s (IFPI) Global Album Sales 2021 edition, and twice, thanks to the sales of their albums ‘Your choice‘ and ‘Attacca‘.
With the album ‘Attacca’, they managed to overcome other artists with great reception among the public, such as BTS and Ed Sheeran. Days ago, the boyband that was introduced to the industry under Pledis made its first entry to the Global Artist Chart 2021, also from IFPI, at number nine.

The S.Coups-led outfit joins BTS, both from giant Hybe, as the only K-Pop boy groups to rank in the top 10 in the entire history of the IFPI chart. It is also the only band to have two albums in the 2021 edition.
Along with Bangtan and Taylor Swift, the “Rock with you” performers are the only acts to rank multiple albums in the same edition of the list. SEVENTEEN accomplishes the feat with Attacca claiming the third spot and Your choice in eighth place.
