On Tuesday, February 22nd, the girls of NMIXX debuted their first mini album “AD MARE” featuring the title track “O.O”. Since 2021, the JYP Entertainment agency announced that it would launch a new girl group for this year 2022. However, most K-pop fans did not like the single and the video.
Most of the comments accuse JYP Entertainment for having debuted NMIXX with “O.O”, but there are no complaints from the members, since they have not been during the creative process of the production.
The video for “O.O” reached over 19 million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours, making it the second most viewed debut on the page. The first place is still occupied by AESPA’s “Black Mamba” with 21 million.
The UK’s Daily Mail newspaper published an article about how K-pop fans are welcoming the new group NMIXX. In the headline they mention that the song is viral because it is the worst debut single of all time.
