South Korean Kpop group BTS have a great chance of winning at this year’s Grammy Awards.
A member of the jury at the Recording Academy told The Hindustan Times exclusively.
Speaking to the publication about his iniciation at the Recording Academy and the opportunity to vote for winners as a juror, singer and producer Somesh Mathur talked about which artists have the best chance of taking home a Grammy this year.
Sharing whether BTS has a chance to win the GRAMMY in the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” category for their hit ‘Butter’, the artist revealed the following:
“It’s a 50-50 chance. I wouldn’t be too optimistic about it. ()
If you ask me the opinion of the whole voting committee, it’s not that good.
However, I would like them to win because they are the only Asians who have been so successful in the U.S. and everywhere else. And that’s a source of great pride for Asians. I would love for BTS to win a Grammy”.
Mathur also revealed which artists are most likely to win the big awards and shared, “Album of the Year the big favorite is Billie Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever’ and Song of the Year could also go to Billie Eilish as well.”
