Cardi B used her social media to talk about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Even before Vladimir Putin’s recent attacks on Kiev, the rapper was asked by a Twitter follower what she thought about the war ahead.
“wonder what thinks about this whole Russia thing”, wrote one netizen. The “WAP” star responded by defending the population affected by the attacks and military operations.
“Wish these world leaders stop tripping about power and really think about whose really getting affected (citizens) besides the whole world is in a crisis.War,sanctions, invasions should be the last thing these leaders should worry about”

Some people began to question the authenticity of Cardi’s post, saying she wasn’t the one writing the tweets. The artist then posted a video on her account of her in which she says she has a lot to say about what was going on, but that she could be killed for not saying the right things on such a “big platform“.
“This phone hasn’t been hacked, it’s really me”, began the “Up” singer.
“I want to say a lot of things, but I’m going to mind my own business because sometimes I feel like because I have such a big platform, if I don’t say the right things, I might get killed“, the artist continued.
“Actually, I’m not on NATO’s side, I’m not on the Russian side , I’m on the citizens’ side, because at the end of the day, the world is going through a crisis right now (…) the world! It is very difficult to recover the economy.
There’s so many shipments and shipments backed up, China isn’t really playing with us, so a lot of things are delayed, a lot of goods are delayed, and that shit just made it a lot more complicated, so I’m really pissed off by this one“.
