BTS’s Jin, RM, Jungkook and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo will be entering the HOT 100 in the USA

In the Korean music industry, it’s quite common that artists make a name for themselves on a band, and then they continue working alone after the group disbands, once they are famous enough.

Others prefer to work on solo projects while also working as a group member, promoting songs and albums in both activities at the same time.

That requires a lot of stamina.

Only a few Korean artists, or as their fans call them, KPOP idols, have ever had a significant impact in the USA, let alone have an entry in the Billboard Hot 100, the list that ranks song depending on popularity on a weekly basis. Many artists have tried releasing English versions of their Korean songs, but barely any of them make it to the list.

This year shows a different panorama whatsoever, KPOP has taken the global music industry by storm and now we have KPOP artists being global sensations, and we can expect a couple of them to score big entries in the USA’s biggest music list.

Jisoo, Jungkook, RM and Jin have been announced to release their solo projects later this year, and they will be impacting the USA radio stations.

Some of BTS’s member have released solo songs and scored some entries in the HOT 100 in the past, but those were minor entries, and the songs didn’t get much promotion either.
